2. Nature of our activity
Lexibor d.o.o. is a legal and business consultancy company. Lexibor is not a law firm of attorneys (odvetniška družba) and does not practise as an attorney within the meaning of the Attorneys Act (Zakon o odvetništvu). In matters where the law requires representation by an attorney (odvetnik), we will tell you so clearly and can refer you to an appropriate professional.
3. Purpose and nature of the information on the website
The content on the website, including articles in the news section and answers to frequently asked questions, is general information. It does not constitute legal advice in an individual matter and does not replace individual consideration, which takes into account all the circumstances of your case.
The information on the website does not constitute an offer within the meaning of the Obligations Code. A contractual relationship between you and Lexibor arises only upon a written agreement on the service.
We prepare the content carefully and review it regularly. As regulations and administrative practice, particularly in the field of immigration law, change frequently, articles state the date of publication or last update. The information reflects the situation on that date.
4. Initial contact and paid services
Initial contact with us is free of charge. It is a short initial conversation, usually by telephone, in which you tell us who you are and what you need, and we explain how we can help you and agree on the next steps. Initial contact is not legal advice and does not include a legal assessment of your matter.
Legal advice, consultations, preparation of documentation, representation and other services are subject to payment. The price is agreed individually before work begins. In exceptional cases, certain services (as a rule, an oral legal consultation) may be provided free of charge (pro bono), exclusively for persons who demonstrate social hardship.
More detailed rules of cooperation are set out in the Terms of Engagement.
5. Confidentiality of communication
We treat the data and information you provide to us via the online form, by email or by telephone as confidential and use them exclusively to respond to your enquiry or to perform the service you order. We do not disclose them to third parties, except in the cases described in the Privacy Policy.
Please do not send documents or data concerning health or criminal proceedings via the online form. If they are needed for your matter, we will agree on a secure method of handing them over.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable regulations, Lexibor is not liable for damage arising from the use of general information from the website without individual advice, from the temporary unavailability of the website or from the content of third-party websites to which links lead.
This limitation does not apply to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence and does not affect statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded or limited. For services we perform on the basis of a contract, liability is assessed in accordance with that contract and the law.
7. Links to other websites
The website contains links to third-party websites (e.g. of state authorities and legal information systems). These links are intended to facilitate access to information. We have no influence over the content, operation or privacy protection of those websites.
8. Copyright and other rights
The texts, photographs, graphic elements, logo and other content on the website are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights held by Lexibor or its contractual partners. You may download or print content for personal, non-commercial use, provided the source is acknowledged. Any other use, in particular reproduction, adaptation or publication for commercial purposes, is permitted only with the prior written consent of Lexibor.
9. Personal data protection and cookies
How we process personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy, and the use of cookies in the Cookie Policy. You can change your cookie settings at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the website footer.
10. Dispute resolution
Please first report any complaints or disagreements to [email protected]. We endeavour to resolve them amicably and as quickly as possible.
Lexibor does not recognise in advance any provider of out-of-court consumer dispute resolution as competent to resolve disputes that a consumer might file in accordance with the Out-of-Court Resolution of Consumer Disputes Act. This does not mean, however, that Lexibor will not subsequently consent to an alternative method of resolving a possible dispute.
Relationships relating to the use of the website are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia. If alternative dispute resolution is unsuccessful, the court with subject-matter jurisdiction and territorial jurisdiction according to the company’s registered office shall be competent, unless the law grants the consumer a different jurisdiction.
11. Changes to this legal notice
We may amend this legal notice, in particular due to changes in regulations or to the website. The current version is always published on this page.
